Goryanka Hotel

We had 23 people in our group and rented both houses at Goryanka family home for a get-together. Oksana, the hostess, was warm, easy to reach, answered our questions, and suggested places to visit nearby. We were treated with care, and even got to check in around 11:30, much earlier than the usual time, which let us unpack and settle in. Firewood had already been left by the barbecue without us asking, a small touch that meant a lot. There was plenty of room in the yard for games, and the grass was so nice to walk on barefoot. In the morning, there was space to lay out a yoga mat and enjoy the sun and birdsong. The gazebo fit around 20 people comfortably, so we could eat and spend time together. There are two barbecues, helpful when cooking for a crowd, along with a skewer and grill nets. The nets were rusty, but still usable. A wooden swing was another favorite, with room for three, though it was a bit dirty. There’s also a frame for hanging your own hammock. A friendly, calm dog was around and became a guest favorite. The houses stayed cool during the day, which was welcome in warm weather, and felt cozy in the evening. The bedsheets were clean and the pillows comfortable. The rooms are on the small side, so there isn’t much spare space, but they were fine for sleeping. One kitchen was small, while the other was larger and better for making food for a big group. There were enough bathrooms and no lines, and the showers, toilets, and other plumbing all worked. When everyone showered at once, though, the water pressure and temperature shifted and were hard to adjust. The windows and balconies look out over the surrounding nature, and the place itself is quiet and cozy. Towels and slippers were provided for everyone. We had a very warm stay, and I’d recommend it to larger groups looking for a welcoming, comfortable place.
