The location by the river is picturesque, and the prices are reasonable. The room itself was clean, with a great bed, orthopedic mattress, comfortable pillows, and down comforters. There’s a small fridge in the room and a kitchenette. But Wi-Fi didn’t work in our room, and the toilet and shower door had a curtain that barely closed and kept coming apart. The bedding was a mess: the sheet was one color, the duvet cover another, and the two pillowcases were each different colors. We ordered cottage cheese pancakes for breakfast, but they’d been made the night before, covered in cottage cheese mixture and jam, then served cold. The kitchen also had no microwave, even though we’d been told there was one.

We could hear the Black Tisza running nearby the whole time, and the sound was calming rather than annoying. The complex sits right on its shore, with rooms spacious enough for five people in one. There’s a sauna where water from an underground spring comes out of the tap, so the smell is nothing to worry about. You can order a set lunch and stay in instead of going elsewhere. A lovely spot for a family vacation.

The staff were very kind and attentive, and the place itself is gorgeous, in a fabulous setting. The bed was clean at first, and I gave the hotel five stars before meeting the owner. My issue wasn’t paying 50 UAH for laundry, but the way she treated people. She came across as greedy and rude, as if money was all she cared about. I’d have been lucky to deal only with the staff and not meet her. A few minutes talking with her wiped out the good impression from the time she wasn’t at the hotel. After a mountain hike, we returned to stay another night and found that the bedding hadn’t been washed after the previous guests, who had stayed for three nights. Their men’s cologne smell was still on it. In the closet there was also a T-shirt someone had left behind, carrying that same strong scent. I was stunned by the experience. I’ve never had anything like it on my many trips, and it left a bitter aftertaste.

We spent two days here as a group and had a great time. The estate is by the road, but even with heavy traffic you can’t hear much noise. The rooms were clean, and there’s a great shared lounge, as well as a separate pool and sauna. We also used the barbecue and spent a lot of time by the nearby river, sitting and talking away from the city noise. The road all the way from Ivano-Frankivsk was in great shape. There’s also a brewery in Kvasy with incredibly delicious Tsypa beer. I recommend the place!
