The room had a lovely mountain view, and we enjoyed the indoor pool, jacuzzi, sauna and steam room. We also tried the hot tub and salt room, both nice extras. The food was excellent, and the staff were attentive. The complex felt like a good value for a peaceful stay, especially compared with Bukovel’s high prices and limited deals. It also worked well as a base for Yaremche’s waterfalls, Elephant Rock and historic bridges, with Bukovel only 30-40 minutes away. Mary helped us from the reservation onward. She was supportive and accommodating, and persuaded us to extend our stay with a special offer. I do wish the hotel were more flexible with discounts. A “Pay 4, Get 5” package, for instance, could include savings on meals, drinks or spa treatments, but those weren’t offered. A few things kept this from being a five-star stay. More English-speaking staff would help international guests. Room service dishes sat in the corridors all day, and there should be hand napkins in the rooms. When our hot tub booking was canceled because of the wind, we heard only an hour beforehand. Three or four hours’ notice and some compensation would feel more appropriate. Better value packages might encourage guests to eat at the hotel instead of elsewhere, and a live breakfast station for things like eggs would be a nice improvement. Thanks especially to the restaurant team and chef, who took extra time to explain the story behind each dish. We really appreciated it.

The whole family enjoyed the stay, and I’d visit again. We were seven in total: my wife, our three children aged 1, 3 and 12, and my in-laws. The children loved the pools and play areas. There are two pools, one with slides and another that’s 1.5 meters deep, plus outdoor playgrounds and activities, a small zoo and an indoor playroom. Children aged five and up can stay with the childcare staff. The rooms were a good standard, with a refrigerator, TV and balcony overlooking the mountains. Staff were polite and friendly throughout. The Carpathian region is beautiful, too. There are different saunas, hot and cold baths, massages and other options, available by booking for an extra fee. The restaurant menu is good, though you need to ask if you want starters, mains and the rest served in order. Breakfast is included, with several choices listed online. One small annoyance was having to argue every morning because water wasn’t on the menu, while juice was. I prefer my children to drink water.

The staff were sweetly patient while I tried speaking Ukrainian, and the location was just right, close enough to town but not out in the sticks. The outdoor pool and indoor spa are lovely.

We fell for the place, especially the beautiful grounds, and the food was great. We weren’t staying there, and it took us about 20 minutes to walk to the restaurant, but we still ate there every day, sometimes twice. I’d ask the owner to work with the waiters on being friendlier, though. One of them had an attitude.
