The terrace overlooking the river is beautiful, and parking is available on site. The hotel was clean and pleasant, the hosts were kind, and our room had a kettle, TV, and towels. You can also have laundry done for an extra fee. One drawback was the occasional sewage smell, which wasn’t pleasant.

We’ve stayed here twice, a year apart, both times in September or October during the off-season. It’s a good budget option, with a stunning view, clean rooms, polite staff, guarded parking, and a playground for children. The receptionist was open to negotiating. The downsides were cold rooms because the heating was off, no soundproofing, and a damp smell in the shower on our last visit. The receptionist brought us a fireplace, which helped a lot. There’s also a sauna and kitchen, but they’re only open in season, in winter and summer.

We spent a happy, very satisfying week at Pod Skala Hotel. Thanks to Ivanka for her hospitality. We’re heading home to Dnipro tomorrow. The terrace looks out over the Prut River and Elephant Rock, and breakfast there, with the river sounds and mountain herb scents, made us want to explore Yaremche and the nearby sights. Our room was clean and cozy, with a fridge, kettle, large closet, wide comfortable bed, and bathroom. The road also overlooks the Prut River. The hotel is close enough to walk to the center, restaurants, cafes, shops, and market. The one real drawback was the Wi-Fi: it’s there, but didn’t work, so bring mobile data if you have it. We used ours, and that’s why I took off one star.
