Yablunevyi Tsvit

Despite the problems with the house, our two weeks at "Yablunevomu Tsviti" were made worthwhile by the incredible scenery on both sides. A lit gazebo beside the house was handy in the evening, and there was a large swing and a barbecue with firewood. About a hundred meters past the railway on one side, a majestic mountain rises under tall trees, mostly pine in the mixed forest. There's a sledding spot nearby on the slope. I didn't dare try it, but the kids loved it! On the other side, the Prut River isn't deep, but it runs strongly. Its sound is calming and mesmerizing. Having morning coffee on the bank with the water noise beat any exercise. Two shops nearby had what we needed to cook, and we also could eat at the Krym café or the Rubel restaurant. Minibuses ran every 20 to 30 minutes toward the center, Vorokhta, and Bukovel. The heated floor wasn't warm everywhere, and some tiles felt cool. There was also some noise from the utility room. At first glance, we liked the place, and the owner's generous discount especially impressed us. But we soon found there wasn't enough closet space. We moved folded clothes from our suitcases into the chest of drawers, then ended up keeping clothes on the sofa and a chair, which I covered in plastic. There were four chairs, but we used only one. The large, comfortable bed on the second floor let us sleep well. We asked for the bedding to be changed because the sheets had ties and a hole. There were no curtains, only net curtains, so with the lights on in the evening you could hear everything. I hadn't thought a log house could be so soundproof, especially with a dog playing with an iron bowl in its kennel. The house needed more than floor washing. There was dust and cobwebs on the log walls, and a spider near the ceiling. The stairs were beautiful, and the furniture was all new, but poorly maintained. The electric stove and tiled backsplash had grease stains. The spoons and forks, especially the forks, felt sticky, and the white cups had tea or coffee stains. I don't even want to think about the frying pan. My wife and I ended up doing the hosts' cleaning on the first day. Also, please defrost the freezer, there was ice in it and bags that seemed to have been frozen since summer. Apart from the owners' shortcomings with cleanliness, the holiday was a success. Volodvimer, thank you for your criticism. Clean the house and you'll have five stars.

The mountains are close by, which made the location especially nice. We stayed in October 2020 and found the house wonderful, with a very welcoming host. The photos match what you actually get. Everything has been thought through, and there’s what you need for a holiday. If something’s missing, they’re happy to provide it when asked.

The place is away from the center, so it suits you if you want some time in nature. We only stayed a few days and wished we could have stayed longer. It looks even better in person than in the photos, and the hosts are lovely. The view from the window, river sounds, gazebo, swing, and barbecue area are all for your use, with no strangers on the property. The kitchen has plenty of dishes and the basics for cooking, including a grill, pans, and corkscrew. The bedding was clean. There’s a double bed upstairs and a comfortable sofa bed downstairs, a toilet and sink on each floor, and a shower upstairs. Our one small drawback was the lack of blackout curtains in the bedroom.

We had a great stay, with lovely views and really friendly hosts. A perfect place to relax. Thank you!
