The lounge seating is unbelievably uncomfortable, and the power and internet keep going out. One administrator was kissing and cuddling another woman in the lounge, which made guests uncomfortable. I don’t care about their sexuality, but staff should act professionally and make clients feel at ease. The place itself is okay.
The grocery store is right next door, and downtown is close. For someone traveling alone, this is the best choice. Whether it works well otherwise really depends on the guests. Not bad for the price.
Good location and a great hostel. Tatiana on the staff was especially helpful and had good suggestions for things to do in Kharkiv. Everyone was very friendly.
There’s no privacy here.
It’s often full, with lots of foreign guests, but the showers, toilets, and kitchen were still clean. The receptionists are friendly and ready to greet you at any hour. In the city center, the hostel has luxurious bunk beds you could almost live in, with a reading light, outlets, curtains, and clean, warm white bedding. Everything you need is there.
