The key cards were the main frustration: during my nearly two-week stay, I had to get mine replaced every other day. That took away a star. I hope to return, which is why I'm sharing this and hoping the hotel keeps improving. The service was quick and good for a 3-star place, and the staff were friendly and attentive. I only wish the maids paid closer attention while cleaning the rooms.

You can really settle in here, somewhere between a hotel and a summer datcha from Chekhov's time. The garden and your own terrace with rocking chairs are lovely, and there are decorated rooms and bungalows where you can grab a quick lunch or dinner. The welcome is warm and the food is delicious. Staff work hard to help guests enjoy themselves, and you can arrange plenty of things, from bike rental and ping-pong to massages and a hammam. Cocktails are excellent, varied, and affordable. Wines can be pricey, with choices mainly from France, Italy, Australia, and Chile.

The outdoor patio makes summer a great time to visit. Inside, the decor is interesting, and everything looked lovely and clean. Our two steaks arrived in no more than 15 minutes, and the food was delicious. Service was attentive. It can get crowded, though, and tables beside the aisle are awkward: guests and waiters keep passing and bumping into the chairs.
