Academ House

We stayed one night, and the floor was covered in dirt, like it hadn't been cleaned. They charge 70 for sheets, 50 for a towel, and 100 for a key, but give no receipts for those payments.

My husband and I stayed at this hostel. They hand out fines for reasons that make no sense. We got held up at work, and when we came back, the door was locked and they wouldn't let us in. A roommate wanted to open it for us, but they wouldn't let him either, so we had to spend the night outside. This keeps happening to residents. There's a staff member called Fedorovych who makes up all sorts of fines, up to 1,000 UAH. I don't recommend this awful hostel.

We booked through Booking.com, but when we got to the hotel they weren't expecting us, and the apartments we'd reserved were far away. The staff helped us out by putting us in a more expensive room for the price we'd booked. They were friendly, and the room was clean, with two rooms, air conditioning, an LCD TV, a bathroom, and a kitchen where you could cook. Entry was by card. There's private parking, and it's not far from Akadem Mistechko metro station.

The key money isn't refunded, and they don't clean. The old guy at reception looks worn out every evening. One of the most disgusting hostels.
