Hostel Railway Kiev

Being close enough to walk to the train station is about all this hostel has going for it. We paid for a double bed and bathroom but got two single beds, and the room was cold and tiny, like sleeping in a can. We booked five nights, but after a few hours decided to leave after two; the woman wouldn't refund anything. She was the most unfriendly person, and although she said she didn't understand, I think she did. The internet barely worked, and the kitchen was basically unusable: just a kettle and microwave, with no dishes or anything to cook with. It's too expensive for what you get and, after years of staying in hostels, this was the worst. I don't recommend it, even for one night.

The staff were friendly and helpful, which was the one bright spot. This was the worst hostel I’ve stayed in. It was filthy, and the rooms were so small it felt like sleeping in a wardrobe. Cockroaches and hair from previous visitors were everywhere. Better to spend a little more for somewhere nicer. I really don't recommend it.

I’ve never stayed in a worse hostel. Everything felt dirty and disgusting: the towels and sheets, floors, rooms, kitchen, toilets, and showers. My room was dark and tiny, with a broken bed, table, and window. The staff were very rude. It felt like being in prison.

Free Wi-Fi in the rooms was the one bright spot. The rest was rough: the bathroom was tiny and very dirty, and it could be shut at night without warning, meaning you'd have to wait until morning to use the toilet. Outside noise right beneath the windows went on through the night. The rooms were cramped, the pillows small and flat, and the bed linen very old. Service was abysmal, and the staff didn't speak any English.
