The outside looked a bit scary, but inside the place was really comfortable and spacious, and I was satisfied with it. It’s actually a regular apartment in an old building, rather than a hotel. There’s a bedroom, living room, small kitchen, and a Jacuzzi in the bathroom if that matters to you. I was looking for a suite-style room in central Kiev, and this seemed like a good balance of price and quality. One odd thing: they offer airport transfers but require prepayment, with no way to pay online. Room tip: ask about that before arranging a transfer.

The location and very friendly staff made this a great place to stay. There are only 5 rooms across 2 floors, with 2 clean, fairly large shared bathrooms, one per floor. We were lucky to have almost the whole place to ourselves. If all the rooms are occupied, though, I can imagine the bathrooms getting crowded in the mornings and evenings. Friendly service like this seems quite common in the Ukraine.

The internet connection was good, and there’s a kitchen you can use 7/24. We had some trouble getting hot water, though, and at times there was only cold water.

Watch out when booking: the apartment is in a bad area, far from the spot shown on this map and away from the city centre.

The first night, we were given an upgrade. The staff don’t speak English, but they called the “Headquater,” where someone could speak it.
