Mini Hotel Fregat

The food was excellent, though the service could have been better. When you're dining as a group, I'm used to everyone being served at the same time so we can eat together. Parking was very good, and it felt secure and secluded for my motorbike. My first night, though, I was put in a room without air conditioning in 35°C heat. The old shower was badly calcified, broken down, and barely worked; my friend had a room in similar condition. After I complained, I got a different room the next day once one was available. It was much better, with a newly installed, very quiet air conditioner and a working shower, although its nozzles were still heavily calcified.

Seeing the sunrise through the window, with that amazing view over the East bank, was incredible. The bed was comfortable and huge. I'd passed this hotel on the metro every day for five years without thinking of staying there, but I'm glad I finally did.

The riverfront location is good, which makes the service more disappointing. We booked lunch for 30 people, but drink choices were limited, there was only one waitress, and we got just six desserts. They really don't seem to know how to serve a group properly. The food itself was decent.

There was a fridge in the room but no microwave, which doesn't make much sense. Room service wasn't offered at any point during my stay.
