Premier Hotel Lybid

The breakfast was very good, with lots of choices. Outside, downstairs, and in reception, the hotel looks beautiful. That impression disappears once you get to the corridors and rooms. The rooms look like they date from 1990 and haven’t been updated since. They were clean, but nothing special. Parking was a mess, with space for maybe 20 cars and some problem with it all the time. Security didn’t speak English, and the women at reception were very unpleasant when I tried to speak English. They barely knew it.

Breakfast raised a concern: I found small pieces of bone in a meat roll. The minibar fridge had only one small bottle of sparkling water, and the shower drain wasn’t working properly. When I got to the hotel around 15:30, my room still hadn’t been cleaned. There’s quite a bit to improve.

The views from the upper floors are impressive, and I thought the premium rooms were worth the price. The hotel is clean and comfortable, and the staff speak enough English to get by. A young guy at the bar was a bit rude, so I’m giving it four stars instead of five. I do recommend the place.

The price was good compared with other hotels in the city, the bathroom was clean, and breakfast was average, though more choices would help. My room also had a bug, which may point to poor housekeeping. The carpet and walls were very dirty and need urgent redecorating. There was only a bottle of carbonated water, which wasn’t convenient since not everyone likes sparkling water.
