From the room cleaning to the staff, everything was superb. It was all really good and pleasant. I highly recommend giving it a try.

My first night in Ukraine was an amazing stay. I was there seven years ago, in 2018, and it was the best of the best.

I wouldn’t recommend this hotel. It’s poorly maintained: the electricity in my first room was faulty and the lights flickered. I was moved to a second room, then the next day guests arrived next door, making a lot of noise and smoking indoors. The hotel is clearly marked non-smoking, but that rule wasn’t enforced at all. I complained several times, and the manager still did nothing. I was told those guests had booked a suite for several days, so apparently the rules weren’t going to be enforced. They offered me a third room, but it was a downgrade. Honestly, I’d spend the extra $10 or so per day and stay at a different hotel.

The hotel itself is lovely and the location is too, but the standard room wasn't worth the hassle. If you can afford the very steep upgrade price, you'll be much happier. Service seemed to depend on which staff member you got, and don't count on fast attention outside in summer, even when it's quiet. The food was excellent, but breakfast was a letdown. Who wants lukewarm rice and yesterday's potatoes first thing in the morning?
