The warm service and indulgent breakfast made the stay feel special, while the place still had modern comforts. It's a 19th-century citadel tower, with stone walls, vaulted ceilings, and views across Lviv. The atmosphere has an old-world feel, and the whole hotel comes across as part museum, part luxury getaway. Definitely not an ordinary hotel.

The location is beautiful and the chef is good, but the service is just awful. For the high restaurant prices, the waitresses are extremely lazy. Three or four people stood around doing nothing, and even after we politely asked for quick service, they ignored us and forgot part of the order. No apologies, either. I've traveled around the world, and the service here is nil. Waitress Dmytro is ruining it all. Not recommended at all.

The rooms were super quiet, as you'd expect in an old fortress, and the view from the top floor was great. The staff were friendly and helpful, the decor was superb, and the food was fantastic. It's a wonderful historic building to stay in. The price is very reasonable if you're coming from out of Ukraine.

The food was great, though the portions were very small. There was a lovely view, but a party was going on that evening and kids kept running around screaming and crawling under the tables while I tried to eat. I complained and was told their parents were paying guests, so nothing could be done. Without all that screaming, this place could have been okay.
