The staff were pleasant, and the place was clean, tidy, small, and warm. The dark decor aims for a medieval look and pulls it off. It's a simple place, within walking distance of the center in good weather. The church across the road rang its bells sharply at 10 am on Sunday, so keep the windows shut if you want to sleep in. There isn't an elevator, and the staircase is somewhat narrow, so make sure you can carry your suitcases. It's not suitable for people with disabilities, who may want to stay closer to the center. We got back from an evening in the center at midnight and had to phone after ringing the bell several times to be let in. The courtyard entrance is padlocked at night, so keep the number handy. The Wi-Fi needs improvement inside, since reception is poor in some rooms, especially with less capable devices, like ones with an Apple logo.
