Hotel Mlyn

Very peaceful and quiet, and inexpensive. The staff are really friendly, though they don’t speak much English.

I’ll start with the room. When you arrive, a group of very drunk local workers will let you in, then leave you to find someone who can show you the room. After 15 minutes, a man came out who also didn’t look sober. The lady I’d spoken to on the phone said she was sick. That may well have been true, so it wasn’t a major issue. In the triple room, though, the toilet door was transparent glass, broken, and had gaps of about three centimeters from the wall. I’ll add a photo. The shower took ages to adjust. After a long journey, you can either keep fiddling with it, search again for anyone involved in running the “hotel,” or put up with the water switching between boiling hot and ice cold. Once you’ve made it through that and try to rest, local teenagers start partying outside your windows. Motorcycle exhausts, screaming and drunken singing went on until the middle of the night, making it hard to fall asleep. It also made me worry about the safety of my car parked below. I visited a month and a half ago, so I can’t remember every detail. But I remember the best part!!!!! Unfortunately, the owner blocked me on Booking, so I couldn’t post a full review there and am adding this one. The second review is an explanation for a crazy lady who can’t listen or have a constructive conversation about the accommodation’s shortcomings, and instead throws dirt and swears at raised volume under the pretext of a war in the deep Lviv region.

The room was very clean, but that’s where the good points stop. At first it seemed pretty cool, and the bathroom design was an interesting idea, but there’s a big problem: its door is completely transparent and sits about three centimeters away from the wall on both sides. They should at least warn guests about that. The bathroom light switch is by the front door 🧐. There’s also a strange smell, and the mattress is badly worn, with the springs pressing into you. I tried to give it stars, but there’s no point. I don’t recommend it!

The hotel is a total dump. They didn’t accommodate guests properly and were completely irresponsible. Think carefully before booking, in case you’re left homeless at night during curfew. Simply irresponsible, I have no words.
