Piligrim 2

The cafe downstairs is handy for food, the breakfasts are good, and prices are reasonable. Staff were friendly, and this is a decent budget mini-hotel, so I recommend it. Still, after booking a room for two ahead of time, we found just one set of towels when we checked in. I had to go downstairs and ask for another, which was frustrating after a long day. The radio remote didn't work either, but I didn't want to make another trip. These things should have been taken care of.

I stay here often for work, but lately the owner's penny pinching has become hard to miss. Breakfast choices have been cut back, and the ham on toast has been replaced with cheap sausage that even dogs wouldn't eat. It says a lot about how guests are treated. This is a very budget hotel that makes claims to something higher. Improve the service, or at least keep it at the level it used to be. It's very unpleasant, and the owners' piety is noticeable everywhere.

I've stayed at this hotel several times before and everything was wonderful, so this was a first. On the morning of June 25, 2020, breakfast took 30 minutes to arrive, even though I'd only ordered toast and syrniki. There were just two of us in the cafe, and when I asked the waiter, all I got was, "It's not ready yet..." The morning cooks should be fired for treating a guest this way and offering no explanation. The hotel risks losing grateful customers. It began badly too: after a hard day at work, I arrived at Piligrim 2 Hotel and the receptionist showed me to a messy, untidy room. They quickly moved me to another room, but the TV there didn't work, and the AC took over two hours to cool the room.

The location suited me, right by the City shopping center. My room had a refrigerator, kettle, and tea bags, and there was a water cooler on the floor. There's also a storage area in the courtyard for use during an air alarm. Breakfast was included, but it starts at 8 am and I left at 7, so I missed it. I only learned too late that I could have mentioned it the previous afternoon and asked them to prepare a "dry ration" for me.
