The villa has a lot going for it, including its sea view, its close location to the beach, a pool, a jacuzzi, and a separate house with a dry sauna. The hostess was nice and met us when we arrived, allowing an early check-in. But after our long overnight flight, we were too tired to notice the problems straight away. Cleanliness was the biggest disappointment. The whole house was dusty, and the kitchen was shockingly dirty, including the cupboards, utensils, and stove. We had to hand-wash all the dishes, glasses, cutlery, and pots before using them. The dishwasher didn’t work: its lights indicated it needed glass cleaner and salt, and the tablet never dissolved. The owner came to look at it while we were out, but when we tried again it was still unusable. The rooms weren’t clean enough either. One floor was very dusty, with white flakes scattered around. The bathrooms were dirty, with long black hairs left in the bathtubs. A bedroom drawer had hair and used ladies’ panty liners in it. One of the main showers was completely clogged and wouldn’t drain, though the owner came and fixed that when we asked. Getting to the beach was another problem. Entry required a ticket, which the hostess was supposed to provide for an extra fee, but she only had enough for two days for our group of six adults and four children. When we asked for more, she said she wouldn’t buy any because the season was ending and she didn’t want to be left with unused tickets. She told us to buy them ourselves, but there was nowhere to get tickets at the beach entrance. The nearest sales point was in another complex and required a drive. We had no car, and finding an Uber or taxi was very difficult. So we were in a beach house but couldn’t access the beach. Entry was free after 19:00, but by then the water was too cold to swim. The hostess changed the bed linens once, but never changed the towels. I also don’t think the villa is suitable for families with small children. There are too many slippery steps, and the floor tiles are slippery both inside and outside by the pool. We learned that the hard way. It has potential, but in its current condition it’s heavily overpriced and overrated. I wouldn’t recommend it as a luxury place, or recommend it at all.
