A few things were frustrating for a foreign visitor. Booking lists this as an English-speaking place, but the only person I could have a conversation with in English was the maid. One employee spoke a little English, though I speak it better, while the managers speak only Russian or Ukrainian. I requested the airport shuttle by email, and they acknowledged the request. But when I arrived, no driver was there. I later learned they had no information about my request, and I couldn’t reach the hotel from the airport. The phone number on Booking is wrong, as is the address location on Google Maps. To find the hotel, look for number 100, not 102, even though the address is 102. As a tourist who speaks only English, I ended up taking a taxi instead of paying 400 UAH for the shuttle. It cost me 1900 UAH. For comparison, at the end of my stay I paid less than 86 UAH to make the same trip with Uber. I couldn’t connect to Uber at the airport because the Wi-Fi signal on my phone was poor when I arrived. On the plus side, the location is very close to the coast and beaches, and the breakfasts were fairly complete and made with fresh products.

The sea is close by, and the whole place feels peaceful and inviting. The grounds were blooming and beautifully kept, and everything was spotless. Staff were warm, attentive, and always ready to help with a smile. We felt comfortable in all the little details and came away rested in body and soul. Special thanks to Andriy and Inari Zarichansky for their huge contribution to supporting the army. The hotel displays many awards, gifts, and notes of thanks from the military, all arranged with care and respect. Our stay went beyond what we expected. We’ll definitely be back! 💖🌸🌊🇺🇦

Stevenson 🐶 was the real highlight! We came with friends and loved the hotel. The administrator was so sweet, making us tea and giving us treats. Too bad our visit was only a few days, but we’re already planning to return 🥰❤️

The little historical museum on the stairs is a lovely surprise, and it fits the place so naturally. There’s a real sense of care throughout Villa Sofia, from the tasteful interiors to the staff’s sincere smiles. They’re kind and attentive, and make you feel looked after, from morning coffee to an evening on the terrace. The hotel dog is its real soul, calm, friendly, and full of character. Guests clearly adore him. Rooms are bright, clean, and comfortable, with a design that feels peaceful without losing its elegance. Villa Sofia has a royal charm and an Odessa soul. I wanted to stay longer, and I’ll certainly come back.
