We liked that the price matched what we expected, and booking was easy. Our rate included three meals a day and treatments. Reception is on the seventh floor, with an elevator. We chose a standard room, which had a fridge, kettle, and even a bathroom hairdryer screwed to the wall with a nail. The cleaners came daily and changed the towels, so thanks to them. The walls are very thin, though, and you can hear the neighbors clearly. Meals are buffet style, and we never went hungry. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner had plenty of tasty choices, including hot soup at lunch. The dining room also serves oatmeal broth as prescribed by the doctor. The carrot and apple casserole at dinner was a special favorite. Maria Nikolaevna is an experienced doctor who listens to your complaints and wishes, then advises you on drinking the water and assigns treatments. Vladimir gave us a wonderful back massage, he really knows his craft. The salt room is very relaxing: half an hour breathing in the salt vapors and catching some zen. The hotel’s pump room has only Naftusya water. For other water, you have to go to the Central pump room, buy a water card there, and then collect it yourself. Cups and other containers are sold near the pump room.

The excursion was a real highlight, Mr. Taras made it interesting and useful. The staff were kind and explained everything, and the place itself is quiet, green, and has fresh air. I came with my children, aged 3 and 6, starting 07/08/2024, and we had a lovely stay. Our bright, clean room was tidied every day, with towels changed and the floor vacuumed. The food was delicious and healthy, with a good balance of fats, proteins, and carbohydrates and lots of dishes to choose from, even for little gourmets. Thank you for all your care and hard work. I don’t want to leave.

The food was varied and there was a wide choice, with tea, coffee, and compote included, but I missed dairy products like kefir and cottage cheese, and there wasn’t much fruit. I didn’t care for the zucchini. There’s a safe with a key in the room, and a supermarket, pharmacy, and restaurant nearby. The hotel occupies several renovated floors of a Soviet-era building, but it still looks dated. There are lots of children and elderly guests. The ground-floor restaurant is closed, though there is a spa. Water is available in the pump room, but the fountain doesn’t work. We were told the pool would be open every other day because it was busy, even though our package included daily access. The room was hot because the heated towel rail couldn’t be switched off. The balcony was dirty when we arrived, with a dead chick and lots of bird droppings, so we had to clean it ourselves. Cleanliness is only so-so; the carpet and curtains look like they may not have been washed since they were bought. Overall, tolerable, but it felt very USSR, and hot.

The food was plentiful and tasty, with a varied buffet three times a day at 8:30 a.m., 1:00 p.m., and 6:00 p.m. There were plenty of vegetarian choices, and the dining room staff were quick and friendly. They also handled reasonable special requests: I asked for quark at dinner, though it’s usually served at breakfast, and one family could get boiled eggs for their young son. Laundry and ironing are available for a small extra charge. I paid the equivalent of €3 to wash and iron three pairs of underwear, three T-shirts, three pairs of socks, two shirts, and two pairs of trousers. For the equivalent of €40 a night, I was happy with the cheapest single room. It had a large bed, which mattered since I’m 2 meters tall, a roomy wardrobe, a medium-sized fridge that cooled well without much noise, a kettle, two cups, and a teaspoon. There’s a balcony in every room for smokers, a hairdryer, and a radiator in the bathroom that stays hot even in summer, handy for drying swimsuits and towels. Reception is staffed from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., and outside those hours they answer by phone and come out if needed. My only complaint was the somewhat weak Wi-Fi in the rooms, which I heard others mention too. Rooms are cleaned and towels changed daily, though I asked them not to change mine so often because it felt wasteful. Having Naftussia water, the dining room, treatment rooms, a pharmacy, and souvenir shops all in the same building was especially useful in winter or bad weather. There are three elevators, and the wide stairwell has a marble floor. A fairly large park with benches surrounds the building. Across the street are the bus station, petrol station, and supermarket. Three churches, two Orthodox and one Greek Catholic, are about a three-minute walk away, and the Roman Catholic church is further into town, around twelve minutes on foot.

The pool is small, and at almost 200 UAH an hour for two people, it’s incredibly expensive. The food was very poor and unbalanced, with only apples for fruit and no dairy products. The administration was the worst part: no one dealt with our problems. I was there with my husband two weeks ago, and Director Petro ruined the vacation. I understand there’s a war going on, but even the simple problem of missing towels in our room and bringing replacements turned into a big issue. Owners, please change the management. Your administration doesn’t know how to talk to people. At first glance, the hotel seems good for recovery, and the doctor is good. Those are the only reasons for the two stars. I’m attaching the photos I took.
