Hotel Sani

We chose this hotel because we wanted to be close to the pump room and get good service, and everything about our stay was lovely. It's in the old part of town, right near the centre, beside the church and across from the "Puck" theater, where concerts and performances take place. On our last visit, O. Vynnyk was performing, and we could hear his music from the terrace. The terrace itself looked out onto greenery and flowers. Our room was clean and pleasant, with a large, soft orthopedic bed, a good refrigerator, TV and decent internet. If you prefer a soft mattress, you'll like it. Housekeeping did a thorough job, and the bathroom was always spotless. The staff were very polite, and the locals were lovely too. It's often hard to book because rooms are rarely available, especially around special occasions. Thanks for a great stay and proper service.

The central location is the one good thing, but the hotel is in disrepair. In winter, the rooms are musty, the bedding isn't fresh and the water is rusty. The beds are unbearable. Parking is limited, and getting through the barrier means driving along a pedestrian zone. There's nobody on duty, so sorting out a problem or even making a phone call is almost impossible. I don't recommend it.

It's a small, cozy hotel, and the standard room has everything you need. When it felt chilly, we asked for an extra blanket, and when a pillow wasn't comfortable, they brought us a different one. Requests were handled quickly. Breakfast was delicious and included in the price, with generous portions and that homemade, caring touch.

The location is right in the centre, the room was cozy, and the food was great. Breakfast was on the lighter side, with omelets or pancakes, but dinner was hearty and tasty, which I hadn't expected. We booked at 540 UAH a night, plus a 20 UAH nightly tourist fee, so 560 UAH total. For those conditions, that was a steal. We only just got back and, sure, there are things one could pick at, but overall everything was great for the price. Highly recommend.
