It’s a nice hotel, though clearly past its best. For the price, it only feels fair at Promenade. If you’re visiting in winter, ask for the air-conditioning remote so you can keep the room warm.

The food in the restaurant was more or less the same each day and didn’t seem very fresh. The hotel conditions were poor too, with cold rooms in winter and cold hallways. At reception, we didn’t meet anyone particularly polite. On our first day we had to call electricians and other specialists because of problems with the electricity and sewage.

The rooms felt unsafe, and the service brought back the Soviet Union. The hotel seems ambitious, but even at reception they require documents for every guest, including a two-year-old child. They also take a photo of each person staying there.

We booked an executive room online, but on arrival they offered us a lower category. Eventually they offered an equivalent room, only they wanted 20% more for it. We were glad to leave. The three hotels looked much better in the photos than in person. We found a small villa in the city centre for half the price and twice the quality. Avoid.

The staff were rude and unfriendly. They wouldn't even give information by phone about spa availability. I can't recommend this place.
