Krokus-Luxe

The food was really tasty, with big portions. In the kitchen there's a fridge, kettle, microwave, and drinking water. One possible downside is that the well water from the tap is “Naftusya” and has a particular smell. Still, bathing in the mineral water was interesting and felt useful. After washing with shampoo, my hair was very soft. The wooden hotel is beautiful, like a real ethno chalet, and everything was clean and tidy, with what we needed in the rooms. The balconies have fantastic views, and the owners are friendly. It was cold at the end of May, so they turned the heating on for us. The road is the only drawback. Arrange a transfer unless you have an SUV.

The rooms are bright, clean, spacious, and the dining room is large. The hostess makes delicious meals if you order ahead. There's room for a large group, with the house able to host up to 35 people at once. The price is very reasonable, and it's not far from the Trostyan ski lift. It has what you need for a group holiday.

The sauna was good, and the hostess was friendly and cooked tasty food, but it cost extra even though breakfast was listed as included in the price. There was no soundproofing. I could hear people talking through a window on another floor. The shower had fungus, the water smelled bad, and the floor creaked terribly. The pool was small, dirty, and smelly. There wasn't a children's pool or heating. I don't recommend it.

I wouldn't stay at this hotel if you're planning a holiday. Spare yourself the stress and worry about your health. The rooms were nothing like what was shown, just dirty, dusty bug-infested holes. Management treated customers so badly I'd give them a separate zero, but that isn't possible here, so I chose the lowest rating. There's no transport connection or any real convenience. The Booking reviews seem padded.
