Villa Vivat

I came hoping to unwind in nature, but the neighbors in the cottage drank all night, and there was no quiet hour, so I didn't get any sleep. The rooms are poorly soundproofed, even by wooden-house standards, and rooms in a cottage can't be rented to separate guests, only to one group. The grounds are fairly large, with several cottages near the forest. But cleanliness in the rooms was very poor: nobody cleaned under the bed, and the rest seemed only superficially done. The renovation looked as if the work had been finished before it had properly dried. The shower room was dim and needed a more thorough cleaning too. I usually rely on reviews when choosing a place, and those here were very positive, but the actual stay didn't match them. If comfort is what you're after, this isn't the place.

The grounds are well kept, with gazebos and lots of thoughtful touches, from personal hygiene products to a wonderful administrator. The cottages are cozy and the location is beautiful. A lovely place to relax!

The house looks lovely and has enough rooms for a big group. The kitchen has more or less everything you need, and hygiene products are provided too. But we found it dirty, with dust, lots of flies, and cobwebs. The lighting also wasn't thought through for when the power goes out. We couldn't arrange the sauna because the electricity had been cut, even though we'd planned to use it. There's no sound insulation, though I suppose that's common in wooden houses. The price also changed from what we'd first been told. For us, the cost didn't match the quality or service, and we've stayed at places we can compare it with. This is not somewhere I particularly want to return to.

The mountain views from the windows are especially lovely in the morning and at sunset. Inside, the house was clean, cozy, and thoughtfully set up with everything we needed. The hosts were warm and ready to help, and the fresh air, birdsong, and quiet made it easy to recharge away from the city. We'd definitely come back! 💚
