Really welcoming host, and when our tent failed on the route and we had lots of wet gear, he pointed out all the places we could dry our things, sleeping bags, and tent. The spot is cozy, conveniently located, and has lovely scenery, plus a kitchen guests can use and gazebos. I recommend it.
We rented an apartment at "Smerekova Hata" through a company in 2005, and the owners were very friendly. They didn't mind at all that we came back late. In winter we went sledding in the mountains, and we even celebrated a birthday by the fireplace. We're grateful for those warm evenings. It was handy to have shops and the grocery market nearby. We hope to return to "Smerekova Hata" in 2024, this time with our children.
I arrived in Rakhiv in the evening after a hike and urgently needed a room where I could rest comfortably and freshen up. Mr. Vasil was a pleasant host, and the place was modest, cozy, and clean. I paid 180 UAH for a room for two, half the usual price; the other options started at 250 UAH. It's about a 10-minute walk from either the railway or bus station. I'll definitely stay here next time. Recommended.
We stayed in an apartment with basic furniture, a kitchen, and a shower, and it could have been great if it weren't so dirty. The kitchen was a mess: the kettle had greasy marks, there were crumbs everywhere, the rags smelled, and the old towels were stained. The bathroom wasn't any better, with someone's hair and dust behind the mirrors and on the windowsills. The towels smelled too, luckily we'd brought our own. They really need to pay closer attention to cleanliness and order. The apartment should be scrubbed after every tenant.
