Beach Hotel

The five-person room we booked was far too small, and the photos looked nothing like the actual place. There were ants, the plumbing was old, and the pillows and bedding were dirty. I also found Koblevo bleak and run-down, with grassy, neglected resorts, no shops or places to eat, and no sea access that I could find. I don't understand why people go there. We'd been told the route to the sea was 500 meters, but it took about 20 minutes to walk. There was no way through: everything was dug up and behind barbed wire, and all the gates were locked, so we couldn't even reach the sandy beach from the hotel grounds.

We paid 2200 UAH per day in July for a dirty room with no table or chairs and barely enough room for three people. The bedding was awful in both color and quality. The 600 UAH food looked like slop. They'd said the sea was 400 meters away, but there was no access there. The pool was okay, but it didn't make up for the rest.

The pool was the one real plus. Otherwise, the rooms were dirty and the plumbing smelled awful. We paid 2200 a day, yet nobody seemed to be cleaning, and the common kitchen was disgusting, like a dump in a barn. The food was terrible at 600 UAH per day. Change the cook and menu, and charge a fair price for it. You won't sleep well either. People were noisily partying until 4 or 5 in the morning, with no curfew. There isn't a shop nearby. A one-way taxi from Santorini to Koblevo costs 200 UAH. Read the reviews before deciding.

We've returned for several years because the location is great and the staff are wonderful. The pool has seawater and slides, and there's a barbecue area. Natalia, the administrator, is always ready to explain things and help. She's also a talented knitter, with unique pieces at reasonable prices. The room is cozy and clean, with a kettle and small fridge, but the mattresses are worn out. I could feel every square through mine all night, and heavier men may find them even less comfortable. The shower head needs replacing too. June is humid, so bedding needs to dry properly or it can be uncomfortable to sleep. For the past couple of years, we've brought extra bedding. There's no access to the sea, though that's not the hotel's fault. Still, our experience has been positive. Thank you ☀️
