Hotel 7 Seasons

After a long day, having a security person open and search through all my belongings made me feel like a common criminal. It was extremely frustrating.

We reserved ahead through WhatsApp, but on arrival they said two people of the same gender couldn't share one bed. Then, once we were in the room, they treated us dishonestly. When we tried to explain, nobody answered our questions or even looked at us. Their customer communication was awful, and they never apologized. They also wanted us to pay for the airport shuttle. I've never encountered such a disgraceful, disrespectful hotel and staff. I wouldn't recommend staying here.

We ended up leaving with all our luggage, completely outraged. Nobody offered to help with our five suitcases and two backpacks, and as we left they still asked us for $20 for the airport pickup, even though the airport is only 10 minutes away. It wasn't really about the money, but the lack of responsibility, empathy, and concern for guests from another country. We paid and left regretting our choice. The problem started when we arrived. The receptionist, the same person I'd arranged a room for two with on WhatsApp, said two people of the same sex couldn't share a bed in Uganda. When I asked her to show me where this was written in the hotel's policy, she couldn't. She said we would have to pay more for separate beds, even though she'd already agreed on a price, and gave no reasonable solution or accepted responsibility. She then shamelessly said I should have told her we were the same sex. I asked for the supervisor or manager, who had been standing nearby listening the whole time. The supervisor just laughed and said it wasn't allowed at the hotel. Neither woman acted ethically or tried to understand our position. After visiting many countries, we expected a manager to try to help and take care of guests, but that didn't happen here. There were several problems with our experience, so draw your own conclusions. For the price, the facilities are old and the service was poor. I can't recommend this hotel, especially for two people of the same sex passing through Entebbe.
