Karibu Guesthouse

The food was incredible, and the staff were genuinely lovely and welcoming. My wife and I spent just one night here on our honeymoon, but we left very happy. It was a beautiful place and such a good start to our trip in Uganda.

The restaurant food was great, though the menu is limited, and the staff are wonderful. The gardens are beautiful and it’s handy for the airport. The rooms have a quaint feel but are quite dated. There were lots of mosquitoes, so we needed the air conditioning even with the net over the bed. It rattled noisily all night, though it did cover some of the aircraft noise and nearby mosque calls to prayer. It’s very expensive compared with other properties.

We spent the afternoon by the pool before our gorilla trek, and the pineapple cocktail was a highlight. Dinner and breakfast were both enjoyable before we left the next day. The staff were great, and our room was very nice. We stayed at Karibu Entebbe for one night and had a lovely time.

The pool and seating spots were really nice, and we enjoyed both dinner and breakfast at the hotel. We stayed two nights at Karibu before our safari. The staff were welcoming, wonderful, and happy to answer all our questions. Our room was clean and nicely decorated. We hope to return someday.
