Ssese Leisure Beach

A really nice place with a great lake view. You can swim, camp, and explore the surrounding area. The hotel is top notch, especially the customer care.

The food was a highlight for me. I fell in love with the matooke katogo and went back for more, and the campfire was great too. The rooms are clean and spacious, with new structures, furniture, and bedding. There’s warm water in the bathroom anytime. They have rooms for couples, solo guests, and families, plus space for tent camping. Prices aren’t high end, but the service offers good value. It’s only 900m from the ship landing point. I’d definitely come again and recommend giving it a try.

Customer care was great from the moment we arrived. The staff, including the gardener at the beach, receptionists, and room attendants, were so welcoming. The atmosphere was lovely, and there’s a fireplace. I enjoyed edubi in the lake, and the meals were very good, though there wasn’t much variety. They could use a swimming pool for guests who can’t swim in the lake. Some services were even cheaper than on booking apps. If you visit Kalangala, Ssese Leisure Beech is a great place to stay. Hope it’s still just as good next time. One more thing, the Wi-Fi should reach all the rooms. It only works in the rooms near reception.

The rooms were really clean and fresh, with lovely carpets in the sitting area. The staff were friendly, helpful, and easy to find. The food could use a little more seasoning, though. Katogo should have enough bilungo, hehe, this is Africa.
