We spent two nights at this guest house at the end of Dec 25. The staff were friendly, but the whole place felt too dark. The food was edible, though not great, and we were given old fruit at breakfast. One night, we found bats inside our mosquito net in Room 5. It scared us to death, and we thought they must have a nest under the bed. This happened at 1 o'clock at night. They offered us another room, but we didn't feel they took it seriously enough. Bats carry a lot of germs and diseases. We even had to pay for our drinks, which should have been on the house after that incident. Be aware and don't stay there. We heard afterward that there had been more bat problems.

We had a really relaxing, lovely time at Secrets, and my family and I are already planning another stay. They gave us soft, clean beds, good shower pressure, a quiet neighborhood, and wholesome food. The staff were friendly, took care of reliable transport to and fro, and accommodated my relative's severe food allergies.

The chalet-style rooms sit around a central green, and there's a lovely rooftop bar and restaurant. Such a wonderful hidden place, not somewhere you'd expect to find. Highly recommend.

We enjoyed the hospitality enough to finish our Uganda stay here after starting it at the same place. The garden is nice, and the staff are friendly and very helpful, including with arranging a taxi or Buda Buda. It's not far from Entebbe Airport and works well at the start or end of a stay in Uganda. The place is a bit isolated. The nearest supermarket is 3 kilometers away, and Victoria Mall is 5,5km away. There is also a nearby taxi place, for example for trips to Kampala. Across Uganda there is a lot of noise from advertisements and churches. The rooms or chalets are nice, but not mosquito proof, and there's no cupboard for clothes.

The garden, rooftop terrace, and whole property were well kept and felt very safe. There were beautiful birds and other interesting animals and plants in the garden. Our rooms were very clean, with great beds, running water, and wifi. The accommodation was great, and the staff were incredible. Jonathan the manager, Florence the hostess, James the chef, Sean the driver, and the rest of the team all took great care of us and were wonderful to spend time with. James made A+ food, including lovely local dishes for my brother and me, and great meals for my vegetarian sister. My brother, sister, mom, and I stayed at secrets for three nights in October 2023 while visiting Entebbe. It was our first time in Entebbe and Africa, and we couldn't have picked a better place. I'd recommend Secrets to families, people new to Uganda, and anyone looking for a relaxing, safe, memorable stay.
