We spent a family afternoon at LWR and enjoyed a sumptuous meal. The people who ordered fish had a longer wait, but it was worth it. We wished we’d ordered the same. The zip line was the evening’s highlight. It was my first time trying it, and my lil sis Sue nearly blacked out. The first three seconds had me thinking I was finished, but it was fun the whole way. I’d do it again.

The beds were comfortable, and both the lodge and tent had plenty of space. We had no trouble with the running water. The river view and secluded setting made it easy to unwind, and meals were consistently a pleasure, with lots of tasty choices. Everyone at LWR was friendly, professional, and easy to approach with questions. Thanks to Veronica and the staff for a wonderful stay. Wishing you lots of success. Definitely recommend, 10/10!

Nice place and a friendly team. I checked in, then headed to Rwanda the next day. If you're planning to explore the River Nile, this seems a better option for a check-in. I’ll explore more on my next trip to Uganda.

There’s a lot of history and pedigree at this beautiful, magnificent hotel by the source of the River Nile. If you want to learn about the river and Jinja, this is a place to go. It’s worth the money and all the hype, and you can visit any time of year.

The Nile-side location is stunning, and the other staff were warm and welcoming. My room wasn’t as clean as I expected, though, and breakfast was basic with little variety. The receptionist was rude and unhelpful, and seemed not to care about guests or supporting local business. She wouldn’t make things easier for our driver, which mattered to us. Such a beautiful place needs better management and more attention to detail.
