The bedding and towels were old, and the rooms had a lot of dust. The mosquito nets were dusty enough that using them gave me the flu. Hygiene is low here. It could do if you've got nowhere else to sleep.

A peaceful, welcoming spot for budget travelers coming to Kabale. The meals were a hit with us, and the staff were friendly and attentive to what we needed. They did everything they could to make us feel at home.

If heights make you uneasy, ask for a ground-floor room. The first and second floors didn't feel safe to me. Kirigime guest house has quite a few rooms, all basic but with hot water. It's about 700m from Kabale Town, off to the right when you leave Kabale - Katuna Road.

There’s a bar, a hotel and a conference hall here, with space for meetings and large gatherings. The gardens are good for parties, and it's a quiet hideout that’s still only a few meters from the city center. They also offer good accommodation options for anyone looking for a no-noise place near the city.
