Airport Hotel Kampala - Entebbe

Music from the bar inside the hotel blared into our room every night from around 7pm until well after midnight, whatever floor we were on. On weekends, nightclubs next door on both sides added to the noise. The internet was uselessly slow, and the service matched what staff are paid, assuming you could find someone who wasn't running a personal errand for supervisors. I waited two weeks for a clothing iron and was told there was only one in the entire hotel/apartment building. After 16 days I finally got it, with no ironing board provided, not even for the staff supposedly doing laundry. The second-hand iron had a repair on its power cord made with non-electrical insulating tape. It sparked as soon as it was switched on, and the room filled with a burning smell. By then, at 11am, there was no lodging staff in sight or nearby. There were only four parking spaces, which I wouldn't call plenty. The place was extremely overpriced for the experience, and the noise left us too sleep-deprived to want to go anywhere, though the town location is convenient. We booked for a whole month outside the festive season and regretted the overpriced, under-serviced stay. I doubt complaints will be considered. The good reviews seem mostly fake, with vague or no comments. Save yourself the frustration and book somewhere else. Do NOT book here. Management must realize the hotel bar was a terrible idea, but as long as they get money, customer experience doesn't seem to matter. This is Uganda, meaning, apparently, "I don't care."

The hotel is nicely located and has a great aerial view. The service is kawa, the rooms are really good, and they have everything a person needs. It's well equipped, has a big parking area, and security is tight.

Getting there is easy since the place is close to the Airport. The service for customers is on point, and the weather by the shores of L.Victoria is really favorable.
