The view from our room and the dining area was lovely, with Lake Victoria in sight, and the food was great. Hospitality was nice as well. Still, I was relieved to go home because this wasn’t a comfortable stay. Our room had a leaking roof and very dim lighting. There was a lot of dust, and I didn’t feel comfortable putting my clothes in the wardrobe. It rained while we were there, and it would’ve been helpful if management had left umbrellas by the door. If you arrive in the evening or at night, you’ll need your phone as a torch because there’s no outdoor lighting. The venue itself is nice, so adding lights outside would help. It also looks like the lodge hasn’t been changed or refurbished since it opened. I hope this honest review encourages the owners to make some improvements.

There’s lots of greenery, a clean pool, and a quiet atmosphere that makes it easy to tune out the usual noise and spend time with yourself or loved ones. Board games were a highlight for us, and the rooms are sooo spacious. The staff are friendly and accommodating. The lakeside location is beautiful, with planes landing and taking off now and then. There’s a breeze, so bring a jacket. Meals are freshly made and very well done, though that means they take some time. 8/10, definitely!

We spent Xmas here with the family, and it’s a beautiful, cozy place to relax. The views were great and the service amazing. Cottages are limited, so book ahead. I highly recommend it for a festive season getaway. Enjoy!

A calm, pleasant place to stay in Uganda, with clean rooms, good food, and polite people. Special thanks to Helene, who arranged our transfers to and from the airport, once by car and once by boat. She was ready to help with anything we needed and answer all our questions.

That juice they welcome you with is so refreshing, and it makes you feel at home right away. I first visited in July and came back this past weekend because I absolutely love the place. The rooms are lovely and comfortable, the meals are great, and there’s an outdoor play area and board games. Evenings by the bonfire are nice, and the staff are really friendly.
