Capitol Palace Hotel

A lovely spot to unwind, with beautiful old-fashioned design.

I wouldn't recommend this hotel for the money. There are similarly priced places, and even cheaper ones, that seem like better options. The website says breakfast is included, but after I booked a double room, I was told the second guest had to pay separately. Management stood by that policy even after I asked them to correct the website. The bathroom was awful. I had to request towels, there was no toilet paper, and the hot water barely worked. If you want a hot shower, apparently you're expected to heat water and use a bucket. The bathtub was high and slippery, and the shower curtain wasn't very clean, so it was easy to fall. My room was spacious, but mosquitoes were everywhere and the mosquito net provided did little to keep them out. Rats ran around in the ceiling all night, too. This was one of the worst hotels I've stayed in around Kampala.

The meat was so good I kept eating until I couldn't anymore. Awesome place.

The suites sit among lovely greenery, which makes the hotel feel enchanting. The staff were wonderful, the food was excellent, and the WiFi worked as expected. I'll stay here again.
