Delta Suites

There were builders working on the site during my visit, as the building is still under construction. I was there at Educate! offices, which apparently rents a room or two in the building as temporary work space. Once completed, I can imagine it getting busy, with several businesses or offices there and different services available in one convenient place. It's a good spot.

I really enjoyed my stay at Delta suites. The place is in Kabalagala along Kibuli road, with spacious self-contained double rooms set up for resting and equipped with basic and more luxurious necessities. There's also a fully stocked restaurant and bar. Their wider country homes suit family vacations and can take a family of at least four. An airport shuttle is on standby to pick guests up and take them to the airport.

I wouldn't recommend this hotel. During our two-week stay, staff often ignored requests to clean, change sheets, bring towels and empty bins. Soap and toilet paper were rarely replenished, and once we were told we'd have to pay for more toilet paper. The washrooms were visibly dirty, one had no hot water, the fridge was broken and leaked across the kitchen floor, the oven had no gas connection, and the microwave was disgusting. Apart from a few people, Delta Suite staff were unpleasant and seemed clueless about basic customer service. Felix at security was AMAZING, and everyone at Torino Cafe was great.

Cafe Torino is usually quiet inside, though the verandah gets traffic noise. It doesn't tend to be crowded, and there were very few clients when I visited. The music fits the mood, and the meals are affordable and tasty.
