The place is beautiful and has exotic facilities, but meal service needs to be faster. We booked and paid the day before, and sent our menu choices ahead of time, yet waited more than 3 hours for food. Of the 25 people with us, only about 7 had been served by the time we left. We went to another place in the neighbourhood, just a 5-minute drive away, and got served within 30 minutes. Mwebereremu!!

I enjoyed my stay at Kaazi Beach, and everything else was good. The reception staff weren’t welcoming, though. A friendlier, more hospitable approach there would have made the experience even better.

Kaazi Beach Resort’s lakeside setting is beautiful, with stunning views of Lake Victoria. That was the only redeeming part of my visit on 1st Feb 2026. The rest was frustrating and disappointing, and I wouldn’t return. We paid UGX 30,000 each to enter, a fee they said was non-refundable but could be adjusted against the food bill. I thought that might mean decent service. It didn’t. No one showed us to a table, so we had to find an empty one ourselves in the chaos. The waiters seemed indifferent, and we waited ages just to place an order. The menu was extremely limited, then the food arrived in bits, with long gaps between items. The rest never fully came. It felt as though they expected customers to give up and leave hungry after the entrance fee had already been paid. What did arrive was tasteless, smelled awful, and seemed to be missing key ingredients. It was inedible, with small portions and rock-bottom quality. The slow service, rude indifference, and lack of accountability made this the worst service I’ve experienced in Uganda. Save your money and time, and go somewhere else.

There’s accommodation here, along with two pools, one for kids and one for adults. Pool entry costs 10k and 20k respectively. We had a reservation mix-up and struggled to find a good place to enjoy the scenery, though I’ve been here before, so I can excuse that. It’s a magnificent spot for families and all kinds of people. There’s good food, a buffet I didn’t know they had, and more games now, including soccer, boat cruises, and table tennis. It’s a must-visit, so come see for yourself.

Kaazi Beach is a beautiful place, but it’s very poorly managed. We visited twice. On December 30, there were three adults in our group, and we went for snacks and drinks. We were asked to pay a non-refundable 30,000 ugx each as a deposit “due to the festive season,” even though we were the only guests there. We argued and skipped the fee, which was supposed to come off the bill. In the end, our bill was twice that amount anyway. We came back with family on January 1, 2026. We paid for our two boys to swim while the three adults sat at the restaurant. The festive menu was very limited and overpriced, though we expected the price because of the day. When we asked for more choices, we were told that menu was only available on the ground floor, despite our being on the second floor. We still don’t understand why the same restaurant had different menus on different floors. We had to go downstairs ourselves, order and pay in cash, then wait an hour, which we expected given the workload. We were told the change would be returned after service. The food arrived in separate batches, and we had to ask for the change when it didn’t come back; eventually we got it. Ordering another round of drinks took over an hour. Complaining didn’t help. At the second-floor bar and management desk, we found another 20-30 people raising various issues, mostly about food and drink orders. We repeatedly asked to see the manager, who seemed to be hiding somewhere. On that busy festive day, guests were frustrated, staff were exhausted, receptionists were serving food and drinks, and people arriving had to wait for tables and chairs to be arranged. A place attracting hundreds, if not thousands, of people needs a proper management plan. The manager should resign and go home, because they clearly can’t manage a large resort on a busy festive day.
