Fang Fang Suites

Fang Fang Restaurant is a family favorite for us. The food is flavorful and comes in a wide variety, and the welcoming staff add to the warm atmosphere. Elegant bamboo designs create cozy, private dining spaces, making each table feel like its own retreat. I’d happily go back to Fang Fang anytime.

I only ate at the restaurant. The food tasted very nice, though it was just okay overall, and prices were on the high side. Rice portions are huge, enough for 2-3 people. There was no mosquito protection, so there’s a high risk of being bitten. The restaurant was kept very dark, making it hard to read the menu and bill in the evening. All the waiters were local staff, which felt confusing in a Chinese restaurant. I didn’t see any Chinese people during my visit.

The Fang Fang restaurant adjoining the hotel serves great Chinese food, and the location is excellent, within walking distance of Central Kampala, including Kampala Road. We had a nice stay at Fang Fang Suites / Belford Garden Hotel. The rooms were okay, quite spacious, and well ventilated. I liked the simple layout and the downstairs reception and lounge seating. Staff were friendly and helpful, and there was good parking out front with security for safety.

I usually enjoy coming here because the food and service are great. This visit was different, though. After we got home, my friend and I both had food poisoning. Kindly do better.
