For $69 a night, I expected a much better experience. The rooms were nice, but there were no towels. When we arrived, the askari yelled at us for hooting, even though he wasn't at the gate and took about 3-5 minutes to come over. He actually told us that next time we should get out and open the gate ourselves. After that, they had to call the receptionist to come to her office.

I chose this place because it was close to my project site at Uganda breweries. It's a little outside the main town, but I ended up finding it a really nice place to stay. The food quality was up to the mark, and it was comfortable. The swimming pool was maintained and very neat and clean.

The food was great, and I liked spending time on the peaceful patio. The team were warm, responsive, and accommodating, and always seemed happy in their work. I meant to stay one night at DUOMO but found it so restful that I extended to three days. One small thing to know: since they opened in 2018, my drivers had some trouble finding the place. It was quickly sorted out once they asked a local for directions. Point them toward the tall yellow building on the hill and you'll get there.

There's enough parking for all types of vehicles, with security guaranteed, and you can also arrange to meet different people at the hotel. It's a good choice for business trips, especially for travelers from Asian countries. Close enough to the city that you can get to a meeting quickly.
