Hotel La Vena

I spent a week in meetings at this hotel in Seguku, and the food was amazing. I’d return any day just for that. There are pools for adults and kids, lovely gardens, and it’s great value.

The hotel has a lovely atmosphere and a deceptively simple setting that hides a real gem. I’ve been here a few times, but this visit was the first time I saw trouble starting. Maybe its success has left it overreaching and overwhelmed. During a group booking, the food ran out, and at least three times I ordered even a basic Coke that never arrived. At the evening buffet, some guests were leaving and couldn’t dine. An overzealous supervisor, who shouldn’t be in hospitality, told us we couldn’t park our food. I wonder what he did with all that food. What a waste of potential. Train the staff, and fire anyone who won’t change. The hotel should also consider buying off its neighbors to plant a micro-forest boundary instead of building.

The Valentine’s live band was really good 💯. Alfred, the server, was welcoming and nice, and I had a great time.

The building is attractive, the meals are nice, and the customer care is good. The staff are professional and experienced in hotel work, and the accommodation is among the best.
