For UGX 240,000 a night and another UGX 60,000 on food, this was very poor value. I couldn’t wait to leave and wouldn’t book again at that price. The welcoming staff and okay surroundings were a plus, but the accommodation and basic amenities need serious improvement. I booked a Friday night to get away, but got almost no rest. A born-again church beside the rooms was loud through the night, and without a mosquito net I kept getting bitten. The bathrooms were very dirty, and there was no hot water. This didn’t feel like a 3-star stay, and I don’t understand the high rating.

The pond had such a Swan Lake feel, and I loved the geese, the setting, and the furniture. I felt like I was in a fairytale and enjoyed the ndeku nyama kyoma there.

The setting is unusual enough to make up for some rough edges, and there’s zip lining and boat rides on site, plus football on a projector. Entrance was 5k. Rooms were listed at 160k, 210k for a cottage, and 290k for a cottage. The 160k rooms look like toilets from outside. Hot shower, yes. Food was 40k and underwhelming. Service was a bit sketchy, as they didn’t seem to have enough staff that day. MM and Visa were accepted. Overall, a good spot.

A lovely location with good cottages, a pool, and boat rides. It’s a beautiful place for camping, relaxing, going out, or a date.
