Ibis Apartments

The place itself is nice, but the service was awful. Housekeeping came and went unpredictably, and even after I raised the issue, the landlord ignored my complaints and never replied to WhatsApp. The manager was no help either. I rented a two-bedroom apartment but only used one room. I left my bag on the bed in the second room and was later told I had marked its cover, even though the mark was already there on my first day. At checkout, they replaced one damaged bedcover, then went to my company asking for payment for another one. They also wanted 60K for kitchen gloves that sell for 15K Ugx at the supermarket. It felt like they were forcing charges against my deposit. I wouldn't advise a long stay unless you're prepared to avoid touching anything there.

I had a really enjoyable stay at Ibis. The beds were super comfortable, and both the Wi-Fi and hot water worked great. I also liked the interior, the views, and having table tennis and a gym, plus getting to spend time around the dogs. Malls and supermarkets are close by, which made things convenient. A lovely welcome to Uganda for me.

The architecture is impressive, and the neighborhood feels good and secure. The rent is expensive, though I guess that comes with the area. If you decide to live there, don't complain.

I loved waking up to the African Great Parrot calling. The place is in a great spot in Bugolobi, and yes, it's called Ibis.
