SamWeb Bed and Breakfast

I spent two nights at Samweb Bed & Breakfast while in Kampala for work. It was easy to find with Bolt / Google Maps, and Prossy at reception was friendly and interested in how guest services could be improved. I stayed in the VIP room in the main building. Rooms are affordable, and there are smaller budget rooms at the back of the compound. The bedroom and bathroom were very clean, and the whole compound was well lit. The owner has put money into good bathroom facilities. Even though it's on a busy main road, I felt safe, with a 24-hour guard and CCTV. Breakfast was simple and local, omelette, fruit salad, and tea.

The garden plants were beautiful and refreshing, the room had its own bathroom, and the meals of rice or spaghetti with chicken or meat sauce were delicious. The owner helped me with directions before and after I arrived, the place was easy to find, and the Wi-Fi was fast enough for my work. I stayed for seven days on my trip to Uganda. As a light sleeper, I had a hard time resting. The place is literally two steps from the main road, so I could hear cars, trucks, and bikes around the clock. Loud music from the petrol station opposite made it extremely noisy for me. My room wasn't well lit, and I got the same breakfast, bread, omelet, and tea, for five days until I asked for a change. Mrs. Prossy quoted me very high transport prices when I asked. I'd check trip costs with another Ugandan before deciding. Some staff have trouble speaking English. If you book through Airbnb, don't expect access to a private kitchen.

A really clean and tidy place to stay, with good management. One of the best.

It's on a main road, about 500 mtrs from kawempe and 02 kms from bwaise roundabout.
