UPDATE June 2018 I’ve just stayed again, my second time this year. They’re still working on beautifying the outdoor areas, and it’s already looking great even though the work isn’t finished. Fingers crossed that the cottages are next for an update. I visit often and find it ideal for longer stays. The staff are welcoming, and while the accommodation is basic, it’s comfortable. It feels like home, with friendly staff and management who make an effort. The place could use some updating, but that homey feeling more than makes up for it. The room price includes breakfast, served in the dining room or beside the well-maintained, full-sized outdoor pool. Room service is available, and laundry is inexpensive. I’d recommend Tal Cottages to anyone, young or old, who wants to relax without the formalities of a classic hotel. We’ll be back soon. Thankyou Tal Cottages..

Although it looks nice, this was a bad place to stay. If I wanted a shower, I had to go to reception and ask them to pump the water. They also called early in the morning to say breakfast was only available until 8 am, without giving a reason. They need a new manager who understands the business.

It’s a nice environment to spend time in, but the customer care is very poor and the attendants speak rudely. The swimming pool water isn’t very clean either. Those things need fixing.

I went to a friend’s wedding here. The location is good and the view is great. It’s a good three-star hotel in Kampala, with services and facilities at a comfortable three-star level. Don’t expect more.
