The layout has promise, and the place is improving. With proper upkeep, it could draw an even more upscale clientele and become a relaxing spot to visit. It still needs effective, well-trained management to reach that potential.

A nice pool and affordable accommodation make this a good quiet escape from Mbale’s busy town. The calm setting also works well for business meetings or a family outing, though orders can take a while.

We came for dinner and were let down by the food. There was no menu to look through, which seems common at local places, and the choices were extremely limited. Our meal took more than 45 minutes to arrive. The goat was the worst quality meat chunks I’ve seen served at a restaurant in Uganda in my five years living here. Then we found the goat cost twice as much as the liver. This place has potential, but dinner was a disappointment.
