The internet was surprisingly good, which hasn’t usually been the case in the NE. The food selection was superb and everything was well cooked. Rooms were clean, the shower worked well, and the fan and mosquito net did their jobs. Friendly, attentive staff too. A lovely oasis on the edge of town.

The staff and guides were wonderful, and the food was great. If you’re up for the effort, it’s an ideal base for hiking around Mount Moroto. One of the best places in Moroto.

Our team still remembers our day at Kara-Tunga as one of our favorite experiences in Uganda. We started at the sustainable tree farm, where the knowledgeable staff helped us plant our own baby trees. After a delicious lunch at Kara-Tunga, we took an afternoon cultural tour with a tribe. It was a great day for the whole team. Thanks to everyone for making it such a good experience. We didn’t stay overnight.

We held a stakeholder meeting at Kara-Tunga, and everything was spot on 👌🏽. The quiet meeting space worked well for our group of 25-30, and the staff were pleasant and helpful. The buffet was clean and well organised, with fresh, delicious, organic food. Thanks, guys. Looking forward to coming back.
