Home stay studio 62 guesthouse

The place was spacious, peaceful, and beautiful, and the location put us close to everything around. Pauline was kind, respectful, and really helpful. We loved staying at Studio 62, one of the best places we experienced in all Uganda. Breakfast was incredible, with something different each day, always full of flavor and delicious. Thank you!

It’s a quiet area, about a 15-minute walk from central Jinja, and the shared spaces are roomy and comfortable. The family running this homestay were welcoming, though it didn’t feel much like a homestay since they didn’t stay with us or spend time with the guests. The room was beautiful and comfortable, and the shared bathrooms and showers outside the room were always spotless. The morning buffet breakfast was just perfect.

Breakfast came included and was amazing. The rooms were big and comfortable, although the mattresses may have been old or just not the best. We also liked the location, within walking distance of the Hangout and Sta Cafe, with bodas easy to find and Main Street not far away. We hadn’t realized the price was per room at first, so we had to pay an extra 60.000/= because we needed two rooms.

It’s quiet and a good place to rest, and the owners are friendly. But the mosquito nets in the guest rooms have lots of holes. Each room gets just one towel regardless of how many people are staying, and only one bottle of water even for a two-night stay. The shared bathroom door doesn’t lock, and the window lets you see inside. Rose, a staff member, was rude.
