We ended up waiting six hours for our luggage before we could move to another hotel. The travel agent had booked this place, but after seeing it we decided to leave, and the staff wouldn’t let us go because they had put our bags in a room. Both the site manager and GM treated us badly. That was extremely poor treatment of foreign tourists. While waiting, we made the mistake of ordering lunch. About 90% of the listed items weren’t available, it took an hour and several requests to the server for the food to arrive, and everything tasted awful. Even the fries were soggy. The hotel is run-down, with awful food and rooms and poor management. In the main building, where rooms look toward the Nile, the hallway carpets are torn and the bathrooms are so cramped that the shower is right over the toilet. On the older side, rooms look out at garbage and storage items. It’s a shame given the beautiful spot on the Nile.

It’s a very quiet spot, sharing a fence with the Jinja Agricultural Show grounds, and you’re just a short stretch from the River Nile. Great if you want to relax by the water or swim with friends in the pool. The rooms are good, though if you bring lots of clothes you may need to bring hangers or improvise a closet. Swimming is only in the afternoon, no early morning or night access. They really need to work on service and customer care, so I hope we have a better experience next time.

The place is breathtaking, right at the edge of the River Nile. Sitting there had me wondering how easy it might be to swim all the way to Egypt and live there without a Visa!

The view was lovely, but bedbugs made for a terrible night. The manager wasn’t helpful. I might visit again, but I could never sleep there, and I wouldn’t recommend it.

A lovely spot for a staycation, with a great view of the Nile and reasonable prices. Customer care was excellent, especially from a gentleman named Jeremiah, who was the best employee.
