The staff even escorted us back to the lodge each night, and animal tracks were everywhere, from lions, leopards, hippos and elephants. On our first night, rain and mud left our car stuck in the park, but the team came to help right away. The food was delicious and fairly priced, and everyone was kind and helpful. We’d never seen a leopard before, so it was incredible when one of the hosts took us on a short game drive on our last morning and showed us a leopard sleeping in a tree. You might even spot wildlife near your lodge if you’re lucky.

Dinner by the campfire was a thrill, with hyenas and hippos peeping out nearby. The staff were warm, and housekeeping was meticulous. This lodge is tucked into the heart of Queen Elizabeth National park, and the rates are wonderfully affordable. I highly recommend this little gem.

Warthogs wandering through the lodge grounds and all the birds around made the place feel special. We also saw elephants, lions, buffalo and other wildlife on the way to the lodge, since it’s right in the middle of QENP. I stayed for five nights, the team are locals and the food, made with local produce, was amazing. Fantastic service too. I’ll be back.

The lodge is inside the park, so it’s a perfect base for game drives, and you don’t pay park fees to reach it. My cottage was in perfect new condition, with a luxury bathroom and daily room service. The staff were exceptionally polite and helpful with anything I needed. Meals were tasty and prepared to my personal preferences.

Hippos sometimes wander through the grounds while you’re eating, and I loved walking along the lakeshore to watch them living alongside the local fishermen. The lodge is peaceful and feels like a real break from everyday stress. I spent four nights here, enjoyed time with nearby villagers, and found the rooms luxurious despite the budget price. Germaine and Robert were friendly and professional, and cooked very tasty, generous portions for breakfast, lunch and dinner. A wonderful stay at Euphorbia Lodge, and I highly recommend spending time in the National Park. Thanks for taking such good care of me, my new friends.
