The views from the top are incredible, and the common area is comfortable and cosy. We spent four days and nights at Top of the World lodge in August 2025, and the staff were helpful and accommodating with our requests. Shout out to Pius, the new manager, and the main chef, whose name I've unfortunately forgotten, for treating us like royalty. The food was some of the best we had around the Fort Portal area, with delicious steak, fish, chips, and mushroom sauce. The vegetables could have been better, though. Pius connected us with colleagues who could help with trips, and we had a great waterfall adventure with Joseph, the lodge guide. The bedrooms were large and clean, and the beds comfortable, but a few small changes would help: more lights and plug sockets nearer the beds. If you're in a lower lodge, hope you've got calves of steel for the walk up to the restaurant for breakfast and dinner.

The peaceful setting was just right for unwinding, and the staff were friendly and attentive, making sure my stay went well. The food was delicious and carefully prepared, and I enjoyed every meal. My clean, comfortable room was a good place to rest after exploring. From Top of the World Lodge, the views take in three crater lakes, Fort Portal city, Kibale National Park, Queen Elizabeth National Park, and Lake George. It's one of my favorite places in Fort Portal and a great spot to escape city life and be close to nature. The views, food, rooms, and service all made for a relaxing stay. I highly recommend Top of the World Lodge to anyone visiting Fort Portal, and I can't wait to come back.

The lodges are spacious, and the views from both the room and the hotel are stunning. We also took a guided tour of the area, which I enjoyed even more than the chimpanzee trek in Kibale. The manager, chef, and staff were all so welcoming and helpful that we felt at home. A special thanks to the manager for her hospitality and kindness.

The views alone make this a lovely lunch stop. Josef made us really tasty Rolexes, and we were keen to try more of the menu, but we hadn’t ordered ahead. We’ll come back.
